Run To Failure

She had a station

That felt nothing like being alone

She passed the days with

The thoughts of a dream in a poem

She never saw movement in fact

As she looked out the window

And noticed the leaves as they stacked in their

Run to failure

Falling colors turning to brown

Run To Failure

The scattered leaves covered the ground

He wasn’t major

His minor was keeping him strong

He passed the tailor

On his way to the bridge near the sound

The walk he made twice a day lost him

As the wind blew his coat to his back

Loves were sparked – loves were torn as they

Run to failure

With a mind that is clear and awake

Run to Failure

Not knowing what theirs is to take
